LIVING LA VIDA LOCA!!!

I’m not very happy that Siti chose to marry on my Birthday. I couldn’t save most of the smses i received (inbox full) but some sounded something like these :

~ Selamat Pengantin Baru. Aku nok VIP invitation so!! (I want one VIP invitation to your wedding)

~ Tengah bersiap nak pegi mesjid ker tue? (to which i humoured by replying "ak ah tgh bersiap nak pg mesjid la ni, smayang sunat Hari Jadi")

and my naughty sisters (Atiq and Opie) caught me off guard by wishing me "SELAMAT PENGANTIN BARU" the moment i picked up my phone shortly after midnight (i was in Hartamas). It took me like 20 seconds to sink in what they meant. Atiq laughed and said "hahahah.. siyye ko kakak Birthday overshadowed by Siti’s wedding". I decided to just laugh instead of getting pissed. It’s my Birthday.. mood tengah baik..

I went to Hartamas with Mek Na and Aqi (Na’s bf) and met Ad who was already there. Shortly after our pizza was delivered to our table, Esoh arrived. Seeing what she was wearing i said "Oi ni Birthday mu ko aku?" to which she answered "Sokmo aku overdressed!!" while covering her mouth with her palms. Sokmo nah bengong. Nasib baik bestpren aku.

There was no singing or merry wishes. We were just happily hanging out exchanging stories and gossips. And when midnight struck, Mek Na said "hoh pukul doblas doh. Happy Birthday!". That was my first time at Hartamas Square since LeckaLecka opened so i decided to have a scoop of Vanilla Candy. The colour is blue but the taste’s good. We had pizza and pasta. Esoh had a little rice with tomyam and one california roll for her sahur.

We stayed until slightly after 1am (esok Monday, keje), took some pictures and left.

When i got home Kak We opened the door. The TV was on, the lights were off and i saw orange lights from the kitchen. It was Along holding a Birthday Cake!!! I blew the candles and cut the cake. Kak We took out a bottle of Sparkling Juice and i opened it. It was a nice surprise and i was touched. This was the second time Kak We surprised me with a cake. The first was in 2004 (she wasn’t in Shah Alam last year). And I had my 21st Birthday Bash at Kelana Parkview pool largely helped by Kak We and Along.

I forced myself to eat half a slice of the cake coz i was so full.

It doesn’t matter how they wished me, singing or not. It’s the thought that counts and being there with me walaupun esok ader yg keje and ader kelas. I’m happy that I was surrounded with the people I love on my 24th birthday. I couldn’t have asked for more.

In the morning, Didie texted the Birthday wish to me in Tagalog and i replied in Spanish. And right after the solemnization of Siti’s wedding on TV3, my youngest sister, Ku Zett the brat called and practically shouted "Selamat Pengantin Baru!!". I’m blessed with retarded sisters. My hi-tech Mom sent me an MMS but I couldn’t see the picture. So I asked "apakah gerangan gambar yg dihantar wahai Bonda? Adakah sebiji kek?" and Mama replied "Sebiji kek berwarna warni yang sedap lagi lazat". Adoi. Disfunctional residents of White Villa.

To all my dearest friends ~ Woi, aku mintak boyfriend for my birthday, manernye? Takder sorang pon bagi. Uh. Takleh harap.
